Centuries ago, the Rat-Kin dwelt in vast underground halls in the North. Then a great calamity overcame them and they were forced to flee. Some of the survivors became seaborne raiders on the surface world. Now they sail the oceans in ramshackle longships made of driftwood and whale bone, guided by the edicts of the “Great Maw”. The Great Maw demands plunder and sacrifices in return for their survival.
